The Weights, and What They Actually Hold
Trade weights confuse people who have only ever bought grams, so here is the plain version.
Bulk Ounces and Quarter Pounds
An ounce is roughly 28 grams. A quarter pound is four of them — about 112 grams. This is the usual entry point for buying in volume, and for most regular smokers it lasts a couple of months. Bulk ounces sit just below it if you want to test a strain at scale before committing further.
Half Pound and Pound Deals
A half pound is around 224 grams, a full pound around 448. Half pound deals and pound deals are where the unit price bottoms out, but they are a serious quantity — worth thinking about how long it will realistically take you to get through it before you buy.
Where the Per-Gram Saving Lands
The saving is not linear. The biggest single drop usually comes between an ounce and a quarter pound; after that it flattens, and the difference between a half pound and a pound is smaller than people expect.
